US sanctions can not stop the development of the Iranian oil industry, Mohammad Reza Rezaee Kuchi, Iranian MP and head of the Development Committee of the Iranian Parliament, told Shana News Agency, Trend reports.
According to Rezaee Kuchi, although the sanctions have tangible effects on the economy, they did not manage to impede the development of Iranian oil industry.
The US wanted to halt the exports of Iranian oil, but failed to reach its goal, Rezaee Kuchi said.
"There may be obstacles in investments, but great progress has been made in various petrochemical and gas projects," he said.
The Iranian MP added that Iran has sold enough oil in recent months and stating that "no one can stop Iran's oil sales" is far from being far-fetched.
Rezaee Kuchi said that the US is trying to restrict investments in projects aimed at the development of Iran's oil industry.
The US has imposed sanctions on Iran in November 2018, and excluded 8 countries importing oil from Iran from the said sanctions for a period of 6 months.
