Iran does not have a shortage of methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) after the establishment of Chimitex Arya Company, a subsidiary of Iran's Shimibaft Petrochemical Company, Mohsun Shams, Executive Director of Shimibaft Petrochemical Company, said.
Chimitex Arya Company and Shimibaft Petrochemical Company are planned to be merged, Shams added, Trend reports referring to Shana news agency.
He added that at the same time, Shimibaft Petrochemical Company intends to produce new products.
Shimibaft Petrochemical Company exported 10,000 tons of the products worth $6 million during three months (March 21 - June 21) of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), he said.
Shams said that the company's revenues during three months grew by 234 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year.
He said that the production increased by seven percent during three months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year.
Shams said that Shimibaft Petrochemical Company sold 85 percent of revenues obtained as a result of export via NIMA system last Iranian year (March 21, 2018 - March 20, 2019).
He added that the export value of the company reached $18 million last Iranian year.
