TEHRAN, Iran, July 26. Iran's automakers offer more products to new mothers without the need to register for a presale lottery draw, the director general of the automotive industry in the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade Abdollah Tavakoli Larijani told Trend.

"According to the population youth law, automakers are obliged to implement a plan called car sale without lottery draw for mothers and allocate 50 percent of their auto sale to mothers with a second child born after November 10, 2021," he said referring to the law.

The Iranian parliament approved the law to encourage young couples to have children and prevent the rise of the old population; mothers could use this law for seven years to buy cars without registration for the lottery.

Larijani underlined the sale condition saying that mothers with second children born in provinces with a 0.5 percent population growth are included in the plan.

He pointed out that automakers will sell new products at the lottery including the vehicle models Dignity by Bahman Motor and Dion by Ilia Automotive Industries while the SAIPA has eliminated the lottery sale of Shahin and would sell the product without holding a lottery.

According to the official, automakers offer a total of 80,000 cars for special sale with and without holding lottery draws. The special auto sale will be online at the integrated car sale system.

The Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade has announced that car lotteries will be eliminated in the Iranian fiscal 2022-23.
