BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. The production of Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company in Kerman Province, located in southeastern Iran, increased by 17.5 percent in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Iran's Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company said, Trend reports.
The company's production last Iranian year was 23.5 million tons. However, the company produced 20 million tons in the previous year.
In the last Iranian year, the sales volume of the company's products amounted to 641 trillion rials (about $15.3 billion). This is a 27 percent rise from a year earlier. The company's sales amounted to 505 trillion rials (about $12 billion) in the previous year.
To note, the Iranian mining and industrial company Golgohar was founded in 1991. The annual production potential of the company is 15 million tons of iron ore concentrate and 10 million tons of iron ore pellets. Works are underway to increase the company's production to a total of 30 million tons.
