BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. During the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (March 20 - May 20, 2024), the export of non-oil products from Mazandaran province, located in the north of Iran, increased by 11% in terms of value and 69% in terms of weight compared to the same period last year (March 21 - May 21, 2023), the customs supervisor of Mazandaran province of Iran Amir Jamshidi said, Trend reports.
According to him, about 324 thousand tons of non-oil products worth about 53.9 million dollars were exported from Iran's Mazandaran province within 2 months.
Jamshidi said that 17 thousand tons worth about 21.2 million dollars were sent from the province to Iraq in 2 months, 228 thousand tons worth 12.7 million dollars to Russia, 18 thousand tons worth 4.12 million dollars, 41 thousand tons worth 2.8 million dollars. 2 thousand tons of products worth 1.7 million dollars were exported to Türkiye.
The customs official said that the export of products from the province to the mentioned 5 countries in 2 months made up 74% of the province's product exports in terms of value and 82% in terms of weight.
During the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (March 20 - May 20, 2024), Iran's non-oil product export amounted to 23.5 million tons worth 8 billion dollars. During 2 months, Iran's non-oil product exports increased by 3.8% in terms of value and 8.5% in terms of weight compared to the same period last year (March 21 - May 21, 2023).
