The Paris terror attack can be seen as feedback about western countries, in particular France's support for terrorist groups in the Middle East, according to Iran's former ambassador to France.

Also, Mehdi Aboutalebi accused Paris of having a hand in strengthening the Islamic state militant group (IS, aka ISIL, ISIS or Daesh), Iran's semi-official ISNA news agency reported Nov. 14.

At least 150 people were killed following a series of terrorist attacks in Paris Nov. 13.

Gunmen and suicide bombers attacked restaurants, a concert hall and a sports stadium at locations across Paris during a deadly rampage, which President Francois Hollande called an unprecedented terrorist attack.

France is a decisive member of the US-led anti-IS coalition, however, provides practical assistance to the group and its activities, the Iranian diplomat claimed.

Aboutalebi also accused France of discrimination against immigrants.

The diplomat further condemned the terrorist attacks in Paris, offering his condolences to the victims' families.

Iranian lawmaker Hossein Naghavi Hosseini further said that if the French government does not take measures to restrict entry to their county, more terror attacks can be expected in France, as well as other European countries.

Hosseini, who is member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission in Iran's parliament, said the terror attacks in Paris were predictable, as at least 1000 French citizens have joined the IS group.

He also referred to a meeting with French lawmakers during a visit to Paris several months ago, saying Iranian MPs warned their French counterparts about the hazards posed by the IS group's French citizens once they return home.

"Europeans must figure out that this (terror attack) is a result of their supplying financial aid and weapons to Daesh, and backing US policies in Syria which are based on supporting terrorists," he said.

Naghavi Hosseini also said that the Islamic Republic strongly condemns any form of terrorism.

The Iranian MP further offered condolences to the French people.
