Georgian PM finished meetings at Marshal Fund conference

Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili finishes visit to Germany.

During the visit, Prime Minister took part at a conference organized by the Marshall Fund, which was also attended by current and former presidents of different countries, ministers and politicians, the press service of the government of Georgia reported on Tuesday.

Ivanishvili noted that he had many hours of informal meeting with the participants of the panel discussion on Georgia, and is satisfied with its results.

"We discussed many issues, including the provision of the security of Georgia, as well as the vector of its development. I am satisfied with these meetings, as they helped to understand Europe's attitude to Georgia and the expectations from it," he said.

Ivanishvili completed his visit with a meeting with Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt. The sides talked about the development of friendly relations between the two countries.

Sweden is a longtime partner of Georgia and its friend, and in the future this cooperation will continue, Bildt said after the meeting.

"We are ready to cooperate with Georgian authorities in the democratization of the country," he said.
