Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi has decided to recall the country's ambassador in Tel Aviv in protest over Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, his spokesman announced Wednesday, dpa reported.
According to presidential spokesman Yasser Ali, speaking on state television, Egypt will also call for an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council and will summon the Israeli ambassador to Egypt to issue a formal protest.
