Turkish FM launches new stage of talks on EU admission

Turkey, Ankara, Dec. 18/ Trend , A. Aleskerov/ By the end of 2008, two more issues are expected to be considered in regards with Turkey's joining EU. Issues concerning free transfer of capital as well as information agency and media are expected to be discussed at inter parliamentary conference in Brussels. Foreign Minister Ali Babacan will represent Turkey. So, Ankara holds talks with EU concerning open issues which will make up 10 of 35, according to Star daily.

Recently Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan invited ambassadors of the EU member states to an official dinner in Ankara. No one should have doubts about determination of government concerning Turkey's joining EU, Babacan said while addressing the meeting.

Full-right membership of Turkey in EU is strategic goal and Turkish state policy, he said. Membership in EU provides framework of necessary reforms carried out in the country, minister said.
