“My election campaign is held in accordance with the acting legislation and pretensions of my rival Osman Gunduz are baseless,” MP Rabiyat Aslanova, the candidate of the New Azerbaijan Party, who ballots from Balakan constituency 109, told Trend.
Gunduz noted that Aslanova openly used administrative resources. According to Gunduz, Rugiya Seyidova, the chief of the Balakan district Executive Power, as well as several officials participated in the election campaign of Aslanova. He regards their participation, as well as use of state bodies in the campaign as serious violation.
In reply to this, Aslanova stressed that the accusations were baseless. These people are her authoritative representatives and lawyer relieved of their posts. Therefore, their participation in the election campaign is legal. “I invite my rival to civil struggle. Candidates should know that everything is decided by voter and don’t throw mud at each other,”Aslanova underlined.
Aslanova also said that if Gunduz had got facts concerning violation of law, he could address to court. She regards the participation of the members of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party in the election campaign in the Balakan district as legal and logical.
