A war between Russia and Georgia is not real, Vasily Istratov, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan told journalists today, Trend reports.
According to him, the fact that Moscow withdrew its Ambassador from Georgia does not mean that the work of the Russian diplomatic office in Tbilisi will be held up.
He admitted that there is a scandal between the two countries, and expressed his hope that it will be solved diplomatically.
In his turn, Zurab Gumberidze, Georgia`s Ambassador to Azerbaijan also ruled out any military operations between Georgia and Russia. He pointed out that at present the investigation over the Russian military men arrested in Tbilisi is underway. The situation has become heated and that has a negative influence on relations between the two countries, told the Georgian Diplomat.
