BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 3. The number of recipients of labor pensions under special conditions in Azerbaijan totaled 147,893 people in April 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan indicates that among them, 111,808 people received pensions due to age, 14,189 due to disability, and 21,896 due to the loss of a breadwinner.
The State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) is responsible for the financing of pensions and other social security benefits (unemployment and other), determining entitlement, calculating the benefit, and arranging payment. It has 81 local offices. The fund collects social insurance contributions and arranges transfers of income from the state budget to post offices and employers.
