BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27. Money transfers to Azerbaijan decreased by two times (1.32 billion manat or $780 million) from January through June 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, 1.3 billion manat ($760 million) was brought into the nation through quick money transfer systems during the reporting period, while 320.3 million manat ($188.4 million) was sent out of the country, a decrease of 40.2 percent or 215.5 million manat ($126.7 million).
As a result, a positive balance of around one billion manat ($590 million) was established in the field of money transfers.
Money transfers to Azerbaijan surged by 3.2 times in 2022, reaching $3.6 billion. Transfers from the country grew by 0.5 percent, reaching $700 million.
