BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 7. Azerbaijan increased non-oil exports by 14.6 percent from January through August 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, Trend reports.
According to the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan, the value of exported non-oil products amounted to $2.2 billion.
The value of exported food products from Azerbaijan in the reporting period amounted to $571.4 million. Exports of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages increased 3.8 times, sugar by 17.9 percent, and fruits and vegetables by 7.4 percent.
The value of exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 10.4 percent and amounted to $593.9 million in the reporting period. The added value of these products as part of non-oil and gas exports increased by 32.8 percent ($132.6 million) compared to the corresponding period last year.
In addition, non-oil exports in August of this year amounted to $203.6 million. Moreover, $51.4 million of the total amount (an increase of 10.3 percent) were exports of food products, and $152.2 million were exports of non-food products.
In general, Azerbaijan's total exports from January through August 2023 amounted to $24.4 billion.
