BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 22. Kazakhstan's real gross domestic product (GDP) is projected to grow by 3.5 percent in 2024, according to the latest World Economic Outlook report from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Trend reports.
This forecast remains unchanged from the previous July outlook.
The IMF has also maintained its 2025 growth forecast for Kazakhstan, estimating a GDP increase of 4.6 percent for that year.
For 2023, the IMF estimates that Kazakhstan's economy grew by 5.1 percent.
In contrast, the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan anticipates a slightly higher GDP growth of 5.3 percent in 2024, with expectations of 6 percent growth for both 2025 and 2026.
In 2023, Kazakhstan saw significant investment activity, with fixed capital investment increasing by 13.7 percent to reach $39.5 billion. Additionally, the country attracted $19.7 billion in foreign direct investment during the first nine months of 2023.
