BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. Azerbaijan saw textile products, clothing, and footwear sold to consumers worth 701.6 million manat ($412.7 million) in January 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee shows that this figure is 36 million manat ($21.1 million), or 5.4 percent, higher than the same month last year.
The share of trade turnover for textiles, clothing, and footwear accounted for 14.5 percent of the total retail turnover.
To note, in January, a total of 4.8 billion manat ($2.8 billion) worth of goods were sold to consumers in the retail trade network in 2024, including 2.6 billion manat ($1.5 billion) worth of food, drinks, and tobacco products and 2.2 billion manat ($1.29 billion) worth of non-food products.
Compared to 2023, retail trade turnover increased by 3.7 percent in real terms, including 1.8 percent for food, drinks, and tobacco products and 6.1 percent for non-food products.
