BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14. The gas processing plant processed 3.37 bcm of natural gas last year, Trend reports via the report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan for 2024.
According to the report, 3.32 billion cubic meters of refined dry gas, 12,200 tons of technical butane, and 26,000 tons of gasoline were produced from this amount.
All of the gas gasoline was supplied as raw material to the "Azerikimya" Production Association, while the technical butane was entirely directed to domestic market sales.
Additionally, at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, 5 million tons of crude oil were processed in 2024, resulting in the production of 1.2 million tons of automotive gasoline, 590,300 tons of jet fuel, 2.06 million tons of diesel fuel, 12,000 tons of lubricants, 178,200 tons of liquefied gas, 265,000 tons of bitumen, 183,400 tons of coke, and other products.
As a result of the measures implemented, the depth of oil refining reached 97.5 percent, with 90 percent of the refined petroleum products directed to the domestic market and the remaining 10 percent exported. The revenue from oil product exports amounted to $273.6 million, while domestic sales brought in 4.7 billion manat ($2.77 billion).
