BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 28. Azerbaijan produced 13,100 tons of salt from January trough February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that this uptick in salt production is a feather in the cap, showing a 505-kilogram or 4 percent bump compared to the 12,600 tons churned out during the same stretch in 2023.
Moreover, during this timeframe, 12,800 tons of food salt hit the shelves, marking a 4.9 percent rise, or 600 tons more than the previous year.
In the grand scheme of things, 12,200 tons of food salt were produced in the first two months of 2024.
As of March 1, Azerbaijan's total salt reserves stand tall at 21,500 tons, with 2,700 tons of food salt in the pipeline.
