BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. Azerbaijani banks issued consumer loans amounting to 8.5 billion manat ($5 billion) by the end of February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBA) indicates that this figure grew 1.46 million manat or $860 million (20.7 percent) compared to the same period last year (seven billion manat or $4 billion).
The loan portfolio of Azerbaijani banks by the end of February this year consisted of business loans worth 14.8 billion manat or $8.7 billion (53.5 percent), consumer loans worth 8.5 million manat or $5.02 million (31 percent) and mortgage loans worth 4.27 billion manat or $2.5 billion (15.5 percent).
