Azerbaijan's banks issued nearly 1.5 billion manat in consumer loans over the past year. By the end of March, the total consumer loan portfolio reached 8.6 billion manat, marking a 20.5% increase compared to the same period last year. In March alone, banks granted 59.6 million manat in consumer loans. Additionally, the total loan portfolio of banks grew to 27.88 billion manat, reflecting a 15.7% year-on-year increase.

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 30.​ The consumer loan portfolio of banks operating in Azerbaijan by the end of March 2025 reached 8.6 billion manat ($5 billion), reflecting a substantial increase.

Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBA) indicates that this marks an increase of 1.46 billion manat ($858.8 million), or 20.5 percent, compared to the same period in 2024 (7.1 billion manat ($4.1 billion)).

Meanwhile, the consumer loan portfolio stood at 8.54 billion manat ($5 billion) by the end of February 2025, and in March alone, Azerbaijani banks issued consumer loans worth 59.6 million manat ($35 million).

The total loan portfolio of banks amounted to 27.8 billion manat ($16.3 billion) by the end of the reporting period, a rise of 3.78 billion manat ($2.2 billion), or 15.7 percent, year-on-year. This figure was 24.1 billion manat ($14.1 billion) in the same period of 2024.
