BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 28. A total of 199.8 million manat ($117.5 million) was spent from Azerbaijan's state budget on its foreign representative offices, Trend reports.
This issue was reflected in the draft law “On the execution of the state budget of Azerbaijan for 2024", discussed at today’s meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship.
Of the total amount, 196.2 million manat ($115.2 million) was allocated for the maintenance and other costs of 84 diplomatic missions and consulates abroad, and 3.6 million manat ($2.1 million) - for the maintenance of Azerbaijan's trade representations abroad, including in China, Russia, Türkiye, the UAE, and Poland.
