BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 29. The volume of consumer loans issued by banks operating in Azerbaijan amounted to 8.7 billion manat ($5.16 billion) at the end of April 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBA) shows that this figure grew by 1.4 billion manat ($838 million) or 19.4 percent compared to the same period last year (7.3 billion manat or $4.32 billion).
To note, at the end of last month, the total loan portfolio of banks was 28 billion manat ($16.57 billion). Of this portfolio, 53.2 percent (14.9 billion manat or $8.82 billion) were business loans, 31.1 percent (8.7 billion manat or $5.16 billion) - consumer loans, and 15.7 percent (4.39 billion manat or $2.6 billion) - mortgage loans.
