BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 17. Revenues from mandatory state social insurance in Azerbaijan exceeded the forecast by 187.2 million manat ($110.45 million), or 7.8 percent during the first five months of 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan shows that contributions from budgetary organizations have seen a significant uptick, climbing by 104.8 million manat ($61.83 million) compared to the same period last year, which translates to a 13.9 percent increase. Meanwhile, contributions from non-budgetary (private) entities have also taken a leap, rising by 182.9 million manat ($107.91 million), or 11.9 percent.
To note, the “Statute of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance” was ratified by President Ilham Aliyev on September 6, 2017. The Agency aims to promote mandatory health insurance, consolidate funds for basic services, improve quality, and ensure rational use of funds.
