ASTANA, Kazakhstan, June 18. Kazakhstan's Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport plans to carry out routine repairs of airfield surfaces next year, with a budget of 2.77 billion tenge ($5.4 million), Trend reports.
The maintenance operations will encompass six distinct sectors,
including the apron, taxiways, and runway infrastructure.
Furthermore, the airport will reinstate the azure pedestrian
thoroughfare and implement remedial measures to address
technological fissures in designated zones.
The airport administration has verified that the infrastructural
enhancements will be executed in a manner that ensures the
continuity of flight operations remains unimpeded. Nonetheless,
transient interruptions may manifest during the ingress or egress
of particularly critical flight operations.
Previously, the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan and Terminals
Astana Airport Limited entered into a strategic partnership for a
comprehensive modernization initiative at the airport, anticipating
capital infusions amounting to $1.1 billion.
