BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8. The volume of consumer loans issued by banks operating in Azerbaijan amounted to 8.9 billion manat ($5.2 billion) as of late May this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBA) shows that this figure increased by 134.3 million manat ($79 million), or 1.5 percent, compared to the end of April (8.7 billion manat or $5.15 billion).
To note, at the end of May, the total loan portfolio of banks was 28.38 billion manat ($16.7 billion). Of this, 15 billion manat ($8.89 billion) accounted for business loans, and 4.4 billion manat ($2.6 billion) for mortgage loans.
