BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 9. Since the dawn of 2025, the Kyrgyz budget has raked in $1.12 billion from customs duties, surpassing the expected revenues by a tidy sum of $26.4 million, Trend reports via the State Customs Service.
In the third quarter alone, the service generated $419.1 million, $16.5 million above projections. The results were presented during an extended meeting of the State Customs Service, where officials reviewed budget execution, law enforcement activities, and the work of the Investigative Department.
Throughout the reporting period, the law enforcement division cataloged a total of 2,423 infractions and criminal activities, subsequently initiating 2,266 case files. The initiatives catalyzed an incremental revenue stream of $3.34 million for the quarterly period and a cumulative total of $8.75 million for the initial three quarters of the fiscal year.
Almaz Saliev, head of the service, instructed officials to strengthen measures to maintain efficiency and continue the positive revenue trend into the fourth quarter.
