BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 12. Iran's saffron exports rose by 105 percent in value terms in the first six months of the Iranian year (from March 21 through September 22, 2025) compared to the previous Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024).
Data obtained by Trend from Iran's National Saffron Council (NSC) indicates that the country exported over 117,000 tons of saffron in the first half of the year, marking a sharp increase from about 57,100 tons during the same period last year.

During the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025), Iran exported around 214 tons of saffron valued at approximately $185 million, reflecting a 4 percent decline in value and a 13 percent drop in volume compared to the previous year.
