Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend U.Ismayilova / The Azerbaijani insurance company Emrah Sigorta is planning to increase its statutory capital to AZN 1mln in line with the new bill on insurance, Shahin Mammadov, the head of the company, said on 28 September. Presently, the statutory capital of the company is AZN 700,000
The draft law on insurance was recommended for the first reading at the autumn session of Azerbaijani Parliament at a meeting of permanent parliamentary commission on economic policy o on 18 September.
The insurance company Emrah Sigorta is a daughter company of Emrah Bank. The premium of company was AZN 0.22mln with claims in the amount of AZN 0.01mln for the second quarter.
