Qatar is ready to invest in the economy of Tajikistan, Avesta.tj reported on Tuesday.
The sides discussed the issues of cooperation at the meeting of Tajik Ambassador to Qatar Zubaydullo Zubaydov with Qatar's Emir Hamad bin Khalif Al Tani.
Emir Hamad bin Khalif Al Tani accepted Tajik President Emomali Rahmon's invitation to pay an official visit to Tajikistan.
Emir said that Tajikistan is an important and friendly country for Qatar and in case of concrete proposals it is ready to invest in various spheres of Tajikistan's economy including the infrastructure restoration.
He also said that Qatar is ready to establish air traffic between the two countries.
The sides agreed that more frequent bilateral visits may help strengthen the countries' relations and stressed the importance of holding a session of intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
