The profit of Turkey's banking sector increased by 16.7 percent in January-June of 2013, compared to 12.9 billion Turkish liras in the same period of 2012, report of Turkey's Central Bank, posted on its website said today.
According to the report, the profit of state banks for the indicated period amounted 2.9 billion liras, or 22.7 percent of banking sector's total profit.
Turkey's banking sector's profit for the indicated period increased by 22 percent in comparison with 24.6 billion liras in January-May of 2012.
The official course for July 18 is 1.9252 TRY/USD.
