Iran ranks 94th among 122 countries in 2013 in terms of Human capital Index (HCI), the Human Capital Report 2013 of World Economic Forum (WEF) said, which was released this week.
Iran's overall HCI score has stood on -0.487 from -2 to 2 range in the report.
The HCI index is based on four pillars including "Health and Wellness", "Education", "Workforce and Employment" and "Enabling Environment".
Iran ranked 68 for Education, 87 for Health and Wellness, 119 for Workforce and Employment and 88 for Enabling Environment by -0.051, -0.274, -1.059 and -0.564 scores respectively.
The HCI is contained in the first global Human Capital Report which is being used as a means of identifying the countries best positioned to contribute to effective workforce development, growth potential, and economic success.
In compiling the index, each country was measured against data collated from reputable global institutions, including the World Health Organisation, the International Labour Organisation, the World Bank, the United Nations and UNESCO, along with WEF and Mercer data and national statistics.
Switzerland topped the list with overall score of 1.455, followed by Finland and Singapore.
Iran's neighbors were ranked in the report as well: Pakistan ranked on 112th place, United Arab Emirates on 24th place, Qatar on 18th place, Kuwait on 59th place, Oman (41st place), Turkey (60th place).
Yemen has stood at the bottom of the list with overall score of -1.395.
