In January-July, 2018, the gross domestic product of Uzbekistan amounted to about 153 trillion soums, which is 4.9 percent more compared to the same period of 2017, Uzbek media reported.
GDP per capita was 4.65 million soums, which is 3.1 percent more than the same period of 2017.
GDP growth was positively affected by the increase in the indicators of various spheres of Uzbek economy. The growth in industry amounted to 6.1 percent, in agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 2.7 percent, in construction - 9.7 percent, in services - 5.0 percent.
As a result of implemented comprehensive measures to develop the Uzbek economy and fiscal policy, particularly, to improve tax administration and interbudgetary relations, to strengthen the revenue base of local budgets in 1H2018, the state budget of Uzbekistan was executed with a surplus of 0.1 percent relative to the GDP.
