Azerbaijani producer of canned products “F.G. Ogullary” LLC plans to begin exporting its goods to the US and France in 2019, the Director of the Nakhchivan-based company Huseyn Farzaliyev told Trend.
He noted that currently, the company produces various types of jams made of sweet cherries, sour cherries, mulberries, walnuts, and even eggplants.
The company is using Iran-made equipment.
"The current production volumes fully satisfy the needs of the domestic market, but our plans are to extend the geography of product supply to foreign markets. The production volumes at the enterprise today completely depend mainly on the demand in the domestic market, therefore we manufacture our products in accordance with the orders," Farzaliyev said.
He noted that the company’s customers are wholesalers, supermarkets, there are also regular customers from Baku and other cities of the country.
"Because of the high quality and specific taste of our products, they are well-known beyond boundaries of Azerbaijan, particularly in Turkey, from where we also receive medium and large orders," he said.
He said that the entrepreneurs from the US, France and Germany have become interested in the products of the company, and that to date, the contacts have already been established with such entrepreneurs.
"We want to fully utilize our potential in order to expand our client base abroad. According to our calculations, we can increase our production volumes to 100 tons in each season. Products made from fruits are seasonal, and the main activity related to harvesting and making of preserves and conserves, coincides with the summer months," Farzaliyev said.
He said the visits to France and Turkey have been scheduled for October, where meetings with potential foreign buyers of the company’s products will be held.
“And we want to start the export deliveries to these countries in the coming year,” Farzaliyev concluded.
He noted that the products manufactured at the enterprise have a certificate of conformity issued by the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
