Uzbekistan Railways has announced the introduction of discounts on domestic destinations during the public holidays from March 21 -24, as well as on passenger trains to Russia from March 5 to May 5, 2019, Trend reports with reference to the railway operator.
Holiday discounts are available:
To pensioners, invalids, veterans and participants of the war of 1941-1945 and persons equated to them - in the amount of 50 percent;
To students of higher educational institutions, schoolchildren, students of colleges and lyceums, students of special educational institutions of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defense, State Security Service, State Customs Committee, State Tax Committee (with certificates and student cards) - 15 percent;
To families (2 or more people — husband and wife; husband, wife, and their children under 18; father or mother with children under 18 — with a marriage certificate) —15 percent;
To collectives (if there is an application for 4 or more people) - 15 percent;
To all categories of passengers who uses high-speed electric trains "Afrosiab"- 10 percent.
Moreover, Uzbekistan Railways has announced additional discounts from March 5 to May 5, 2019 for passenger trains to Russia.
“Discounts are valid in three directions - Tashkent-Moscow, Andijan-Moscow, and Tashkent-Ufa,” the railway operator said.
Under the terms of Railway Company, in order to receive a discount, passengers must purchase a ticket 45 days before the train departs. In this case, the cost of ticket in the compartment will be 55 percent cheaper, and in the second-class car will be 45 percent.
When issuing travel documents in the domestic communication (within Uzbekistan), as well as for travel of organized groups of passengers, these discounts do not apply.
