The construction of sodium sulfate and of Iodized salt was halted in Kazakhstan’s Jambyl region, Trend reports with reference to LS news agency.
“The halt of the project is due to the issues with funding," the report said.
The plant was to be put into operation before the end of 2019 in Moyynkum district of the region. The estimated capacity of the plant equaled to 5,000 tons of sodium sulfate and to 20,000 tons of iodized salt.
Furthermore, the project was included in the framework of Industrialization Roadmap for 2015-2016. Total cost of the construction was estimated to equal to 890 million tenge.
Recently, construction of another salt plant in Kyzylorda region of the country was also halted.
