Geographic proximity, easy access, cultural affinity renders Georgia attractive to Turkish businesspeople, the Turkish Embassy in Georgia told Trend.
"We are neighboring countries. The tax system of Georgia is quite simplified with low tax rates. According to the World Bank, Georgia is the 3rd Least Tax Burden Country, with 9.9 percent Total Tax Rate," the embassy said.
As the embassy noted, Georgia is the 7th Easiest Country to do Business according to the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Report 2020.
"Turkish investments in Georgia exceeds $1.8 billion of total cumulative investment. Turkish companies that produce energy, textile, glassware, beverage, and many more products contribute to Georgian exports," the embassy noted.
According to the embassy, there are also tourism facilities including hotels and restaurants that are owned and/or operated by Turkish investors in Georgia.
