Despite the difficult epidemiological situation in the country, the state budget of Georgian Adjara in 2021 will increase by 3.2 percent and will reach 349 million lari (more than $108.2 million), said Prime Minister of Adjara Tornike Rizhvadze, Trend reports via Georgian media.
"Despite the global pandemic, the economic team was able to plan the budget with a 3.2 percent increase. In reality, this means that not a single project, neither infrastructural nor social, will be suspended," Rizhvadze said.
Rizhvadze stressed that at the same time the budget of none of the municipalities of Adjara did not decrease.
"Including for Khelvachaur municipality, it was increased, since natural disasters caused him great damage, so an additional 2 million lari ($621,414) will be allocated for the transfer for Khelvachauri," the head of the Adjara government said.
