Iran needs to have good foreign trade and transactions to build up its economy, and develop domestic production too, said Iran's First VP Eshaq Jahangiri, Trend reports via IRNA.
"We need foreign trade and modern technologies that could for example be used to revive the oil wells in Kermanshah Province," said Jahangiri.
"If we want to build economy by reliance on domestic capacities, the sanction should be lifted," he said during a conference meeting in Kermanashah Province.
"People currently demand coronavirus and sanctions situation issues to be solved," Jahangiri said. "Despite limitations we are capable to sell oil and generate foreign currency revenues and provide people's needs."
"Today Europeans, the Americans and Mr. Biden's team and even some members of Donald Trump's team, such as John Bolton, have said that the US pressure against Iran has failed," he said.
"We could slowly surpass the sanctions and stand against problems," Jahangiri said.
Elsewhere, Jahangiri spoke about the housing units for people in the province.
"The government has built 134,000 housing units for people that have lost their homes during an earthquake in Kermanshah Province. The province has considerable capacities for development, including a 300-km border with Iraq," he said.
Jahangiri also said that the private sector should be making more investments in the province.
