The iron ore pellet production of 9 major Iranian companies increased by 23 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through December 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, these companies produced about 28.6 million tons of iron ore pellet over 9 months. The figure stood at 23.3 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
"The Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company produced 9.34 million tons of iron ore pellet, Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company (MIDHCO) – 4.43 million tons, Sangan Mining Industries Company – 3.27 million tons, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – 2.76 million tons, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company – 2.64 million tons," the report said.
In addition, Opal Parsian Sangan Industrial and Mining Company produced 2.53 million tons of iron ore pellet, Central Iron Ore Company of Iran – 2.39 million tons, Sanabad Inclusive Development Industrial and Mining Company – 939,000 tons and Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company – 316,000 tons within the mentioned period.
According to the report, these companies supplied 13.9 million tons of iron ore pellet to the relevant manufacturing companies in 9 months, which is an increase of 10 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the figure was 12.7 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Meanwhile, in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 22 through December 21, 2021), iron ore pellets production of the mentioned companies amounted to 3.02 million tons, which is an increase of 17 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the production amounted to 2.59 million tons in the same month last Iranian year.
The companies supplied 1.85 million tons of iron ore pellet to the relevant manufacturing companies in the 9th month. This is an increase of 14 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, the figure was 1.62 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
