ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 7. Last week, 16 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (GTSBT), Trend reports.
Business representatives from Turkey purchased oil road bitumen produced by the enterprises of the State Concern Türkmennebit using foreign currency. Traders from Kyrgyzstan acquired cotton fabric and yarn. The total value of export transactions exceeded $835,000.
On the domestic market, Turkmen entrepreneurs bought oil bitumen and base oil produced by Turkmennebit, as well as aerated concrete blocks, dyed fabrics, cotton yarn, and textile waste. The total volume of domestic transactions amounted to more than 18.39 million Turkmen manat ($5.2 million).
Founded in 1994, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan is the primary authority regulating export-import operations in country.
