Kazakh Caspian Energy Hub feasibility study will be completed in late April

The feasibility study of the Caspian Energy Hub will be completed in April, Mangystau Mayor Krymbek Kusherbayev said in Astana on March 12.

"The feasibility study to construct the Caspian Energy Hub's civil engineering infrastructure along the Caspian coast near Aktau will be completed in April," he said after a meeting with the Kazakh president and project participants.

The next step will be building external civil engineering infrastructure in September, Kusherbayev said.

Roughly $375 million will be spent on the construction. The Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund and Mangistau investment company will partake in the project. The project must be completed in 7-8 years.

The Caspian Energy Hub is aimed at providing technological services and training personnel for oil operations. Production infrastructure for services and oil-and-gas companies, a technical universityand specialized laboratories will be created on the territory of the hub.
