SOCAR exported more than 1.7 million tons of oil via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in January-August 2009 compared to 865,000 tons for the similar period of 2008, SOCAR said.
About 240,000 tons of oil was exported via this pipeline in August compared to 83,000 tons for the similar period of 2008.
SOCAR intends t increase oil export via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline up to 2.5 million tons in 2009 compared to 1.3 million tons in 2008.
About 1.2 million tons of oil was exported via this route in 2007. This index is similar with the figure of 2006. Export via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline hit 1.6 million tons in 2005.
