The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) intends to sell 220,000-230,000 tons of Azerbaijani oil products on the Georgia market in January-June compared to 197,000 tons in January-June of 2009, a source in SOCAR Energy Georgia (SOCAR's subsidiary) reported.
"The company planned to sell 220,000-230,000 tons of Azerbaijani oil products on the Georgia market in the first half of 2010," the source said.
In 2010, SOCAR plans to sell 412,000 tons of petroleum products in Georgia compared to more than 406,000 tons in 2009, the source said.
In January and March, the company sold 76,000 tons of Azerbaijani oil products on the Georgia market.
Azerbaijani process oil at two Baku refineries with total capacity of 20 million tons of oil per year. Both refineries enter SOCAR, which annually processes more than six to seven million tons of oil from offshore and onshore fields independently.
In 2010, SOCAR plans to process 6.15 million tons of oil at two Baku refineries. In 2009, the Baku refineries processed 6.03 million tons of oil compared to 7.35 million tons in 2008.
