The total value of investments in the project for construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant and production of cryogenic equipment in the Kostanay region of Kazakhstan is 20 billion tenge (about $54.8 million), the Global Gas Group LLP, a Kazakh company that will implement the project, told Trend Aug. 15.
The company reminded that a memorandum of cooperation to construct the LNG plant and produce cryogenic equipment was signed September 2017 between the administration of the Kostanay city and Global Gas Group LLP.
The representative of Global Gas Group LLP noted that presently the company expects a feedback from the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan for further implementation of the project.
“Our company has carried out work to develop a feasibility study of the project,” the company said. “Kostanay's administration has worked on the issue of choosing a land plot, and the project for the plant’s construction is under consideration in the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.”
Global Gas Group is a Kazakh gas company and its main activity is the development and launching of new high-tech products, as well as the solution of strategic issues that include attracting investments and managing projects at the international level.
