Rompetrol Georgia opened a new gas station in Ortachala, on the nearby territory of Tbilisi Central Car Park, Trend reports citing Georgian media.
Within the company’s new strategy of intensive network extension, Rompetrol Georgia has opened seven new gas stations in the country during the last year and it is planning to open four more stations in the upcoming months.
The new station in Ortachala is equipped with the filling system of the world’s leading brand TOKHEIM, which is well-known for its dosing accuracy and high-quality. The company has hired nine new employees at the station.
The 5-year strategy of KMG International, the group owning Rompetrol Georgia, foresees intensive extension and development of the network on the retailer market. The group has opened 12 new gas stations in the Black Sea region from the beginning of the current year and plans to open 19 more new stations in the nearest future.
In addition, Rompetrol Georgia plans to open its first flagship station in Borjomi town, which will be the company’s first station on the territory of Borjomi municipality.
“Rompetrol makes all efforts to satisfy the needs of its customers and offer them the products of the highest quality. During this difficult period, we were able to not only protect our employees and consumers and retained all jobs, but also continue to invest, thus, obviously, creating new jobs. Rompetrol Georgia is one of the largest taxpayers to the Georgian state budget and it employs around 800 people throughout the country,” said General Director of Rompetrol Georgia Zamanbek Mirzayanov.
During the COVID-19 outbreak, Rompetrol network operated in accordance with the recommendations and resolutions issued by the government of Georgia and National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.
Rompetrol has been steadily and successfully developing on Georgian market for almost 15 years. It is one of the largest fuel importers in the country.
