The Gas Processing Plant of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR processed 3.763 billion cubic meters of gas in 2020, thereby implementing the plan by 89.1 percent, Trend reports with reference to SOCAR.
The Gas Processing Plant processes natural and associated gases produced by the "Azneft" Production Union. Products manufactured by the plant include processed gas, liquefied gas, and natural gasoline.
The plant has increased gas processing by 117 percent year-on-year. The plant has produced 3.707 billion cubic meters of purified natural gas, 14,000 tons of technical butane and 22,600 tons of gas petrol in 2020. The whole volume of gas petrol was handed over to Azneft production union, 83.8 percent of technical butane was sold domestically, while its 16.2 percent was exported.
