BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 14. Azerenergy OJSC produced 9.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity from January through May 2024, which is 7.2 percent less than the figure for the same period in 2023, the data from the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry said, Trend reports.
Meanwhile, 8.79 billion kilowatt-hours were produced at thermal power plants (TPPs), which is 12.6 percent less than the figure from January through May 2023.
Furthermore, HPPs produced 1.111 billion kWh of electricity (1.8 times more than from January through May 2023).
The State Energy Service of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan produced 177.3 mln kWh of electricity during 5 months of the current year, which is 1.3 mln kWh more than from January through May 2023.
