BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. Azerbaijan exported over 265,400 tons of oil and oil products to Türkiye from January through July 2024, accounting for 1.8 percent of Azerbaijan's total raw material exports, Trend reports.
Based on calculations from the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, this volume decreased by 74.59 percent (or more than 778,980 tons) compared to the same period last year.
In value terms, Azerbaijani exports of oil and oil products to Türkiye during the reporting period totaled over $147.739 million, which is 75.07 percent less than the same period last year.
In 2023, Azerbaijan exported a total of 26.047 million tons of oil and oil products, a 0.09 percent increase from the previous year (26.024 million tons). In value terms, oil exports exceeded $16.24 billion, which is 16.64 percent, or $3.242 billion, less than the figure for the same period in 2022.
