BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 29. The STAR Oil Refinery (STAR), a SOCAR asset in Türkiye, exported 2.297 million tons of oil products from January through June 2024, which is 26.2 percent more than in the same period of 2023, the statement of Türkiye's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) said, Trend reports.
The total volume of exported petroleum products included 1.459 million tons of diesel fuel and 116,675 tons of jet fuel, while other petroleum products accounted for 721,666 tons.
Meanwhile, the share of products from STAR Refinery amounted to 28.28 percent of the total exports of petroleum products out of Türkiye from January through June 2024.
STAR Refinery has been in operation since October 19, 2018, and is capable of refining 13 million tons of crude oil.
