BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 17. Electricity production in Azerbaijan reached 10.7 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) from January through May 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that this figure is 268.3 million kWh, or 2.6 percent, higher than in the same period of 2024 (10.4 million kWh).
To note, the production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam generated goods and services worth 1.51 billion manat ($888.2 million) in the first five months of 2025. Additionally, output in the water supply, waste treatment, and disposal sector amounted to 252.9 million manat ($148.7 million).
